Including but not limited to, the newly redesigned lobby, fitness center, and BABOR Beauty Bar installation inside their award-winning spa. The new guestroom and corridor design will be a fresh take on the hotel’s history of old-world glamour and elegance with the addition of royal hues, luxurious materials, and elegant furniture pieces that harmonize seamlessly with the newly refurbished main lobby. Guestroom and corridor refinishes will be done in phases by floor assuring a smooth transition. The project will start on July 5, 2018, and is anticipated to be completed entirely by December 2018. The hotel will remain open and fully operational during this time. Additionally, the Biltmore Coral Gables’ famed 18-hole, 71-par golf course will undergo a multi-million-dollar restoration project restoring the grounds to its original grandeur of the 1925 Donald Ross-designed layout. Overseen by veteran golf course architect Brian Silva, this restoration will add new Bermuda grass on the existing tees, fairways and greens, incorporate new bunkers, enhance both the short-game practice area as well as the range area, establish a challenging signature hole, and extend the overall course length to over 7,000 yards making it worthy of championship level play. Along with this project, the new established Jim McLean Golf School will also expand with a new “Super Station” and enhanced practice areas. Although the golf course will be closed during the restoration project, the Golf Shop, 19th-Hole restaurant, as well as the #1-ranked Jim-McLean Golf School will remain uninterrupted. The golf course restoration project will commence on July 5, 2018, and is anticipated to be completed by December 2018, during this time the course and its grounds shall be closed for regular play.
