El Tovar Inside the Park

The El Tovar is a National Historic Landmark and retains its elegant surroundings that take you back in time. It is considered to be one of the most elegant lodges in the National Park system. Park entry fees are not included and must be paid upon arrival to the National Park Service. No Resort Fee.Maintenance Notes: Property Renovation - March 15, 2018 The renovation project at the El Tovar - Grand Canyon has been delayed until January 2019. The resort will be closed for renovations from January 1, 2019 to July 31, 2019. February 1, 2018 The renovation project at the El Tovar - Grand Canyon has been delayed until July 2018. July 27, 2017 The El Tovar - Grand Canyon will be closed for renovations from January 3, 2018 to August 31, 2018. July 20, 2017 Beginning January 1, 2018, the El Tovar - Grand Canyon will undergo a renovation project. Due to the renovation including guest rooms, public spaces and the dining room, the hotel will be closed until the project is completed. The anticipated completion date is July 31, 2018. ;Road Project - February 1, 2018 The Grand Canyon is also going through a road widening project that will persist through the end of 2018. Guests will be provided road closure updates as they enter the park. ;
